Research Director
Main Job Responsibilities
1. Achieve sales and revenue targets as agreed with the Head of Office
Meet regularly with existing clients to manage existing projects and
relationships as well as securing new business for company.
2. Present the company to potential new clients as agreed with annual
objectives.
3. Present /assist to present proposals and study reports to clients.
4. Design and support others in designing high quality questionnaires to meet
objectives of the studies commissioned.
5. Occasionally undertake in depth qualitative interviews and successfully
conduct focus groups.
6. Deliver and support others in delivering fieldwork briefings to ensure
the interviewers are clear about the purposes and logic of the flow of the
questionnaires.
7. Support fieldwork and data processing to ensure the study and its
analysis are conducted in a logical and highly professional manner
8. Conduct data analysis to provide meaningful conclusions.
9. Design reports and charts to present easy-to-read and meaningful linkage to
conclusions.
10. Estimate and plan resources for the commissioned projects to ensure the
projects can be completed according to schedule.
11. Interpret the data using SPSS, Excel or other techniques to produce
accurate analysis.
12. Write the conclusions to clearly and accurately represent the insights
of the findings and recommendations.
13.Train and supervise project managers, senior researchers and researchers to
ensure they acquire needed research techniques.
14. Assist senior staff members and fieldwork on ad hoc projects as
assigned.
Qualifications
1. A network of contacts across the China healthcare sector is desired
2. Strong English language skills are essential
3. An undergraduate degree in an appropriate area -science, medicine,
pharmacy, mathematics, business is essential
4. At least 6 years prior market research /agency experience is essential
5. 3 years plus prior healthcare market research or other healthcare
agency experience is essential
6. An advanced degree would be an advantage
7. Overseas work /study experience is desired
8. Clinical medicine background and experience in the China market is
desired
9. Healthcare industry marketing and sales experience is desired
Senior Research Executive
Main Job Responsibilities
1. Support the research director in preparing proposals for clients as well as
attending briefing meetings as necessary.
2. Translate questionnaires from English to Chinese or vice versa accurately.
3. Assist in developing code frames to accurately and comprehensively capture
the open-ended questions.
4. Undertake in depth qualitative interviews and successfully conduct focus
groups.
5. Write data processing (DP) specifications to ensure the specs accurately
reflect the data processing requirements.
6. Assist to extract data and figures from computer tabulations to provide
useful and meaningful data for further analysis by senior members of the team.
7. Assist in the design of questionnaires to show knowledge and techniques in
writing basic questions.
8. Assist to implement Healthcare techniques and programs to produce meaningful
and presentable graphic charts.
9. Coordinate work with other offices to ensure project schedules are followed.
10. Assist senior members on ad hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications
1. A recognized undergraduate degree from a respected university
2. Ideally a medical/pharmaceutical qualification
3. One to two years' working experience
4. Fluent written, spoken and read Mandarin (not compulsory for expatriate
hires)
5. A proven ability to speak, read and write English
6. Able to demonstrate basic sales and marketing understanding
7. Knowledge of the healthcare industry (healthcare, epidemiology,
pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, distribution of healthcare including
retailing).

5. Able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
6. University student available 4-5 days a week want to develop career at
